Lana Lights Festival

Overview:
Luce Dipinta organises events featuring projected imagery, with their flagship event being Lana Lights — an International “Painting with Light” Festival spanning several days. The festival welcomes projection artists from around the world and offers free entry to the public. Events include 3D video mapping on buildings, multivision screenings, workshops, and immersive light installations.

Challenge:
The association required a standalone website dedicated solely to the Lana Lights Festival and its related events. The site needed:

• A members’ area for contributing artists.
• Sections for news, videos, event calendars, and sponsors.
• To appeal to potential sponsors and partners to support financing and technical collaboration.

Solution:

• Implemented Joomla! CMS for flexibility and easy content management.
• Added permission-controlled areas for artists and sponsors.
• Integrated Falang for multilingual content (Italian, German, and English).
• Embedded videos using Vimeo and YouTube plugins to enhance SEO and minimize bandwidth use.
