Time-lapse photography for video clips
Time-lapse Photography is a video technique where images are captured at a much lower frame rate than the playback rate. When played at normal speed, time appears to move faster, creating the effect of time “lapsing.”
For example, a scene might be photographed once every second and then played back at 25 frames per second, resulting in a motion that appears 25 times faster than real life. Time-lapse photography is the opposite of high-speed or slow-motion photography, which slows down the action instead of speeding it up.
Time-Lapse Photography Commissions and Archive
I offer professional time-lapse photography commissions for use in online marketing, advertising, and visual storytelling. These sequences capture changes over periods ranging from an hour, a day, a week, a month, or even multiple years. I provide the final sequences as individual images or as fully composed animated videos. Video outputs are available in any format, from DVD quality to HD for online use, and even 4K resolution.
To view sample time-lapse sequences, visit alexrowbotham.com. These videos were created both for commissions and personal projects. I undertake time-lapse photography or video projects at home or abroad, whether studio-based or on location.
In addition, I maintain an extensive time-lapse archive available for purchase under licence. If you are looking for a particular subject, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
