CLIENT: Associazione Italiana degli autori di Multivisione Artistica
AIDAMA was formed in 1996 as a non-profit cultural association that intends to: promote Multivision in Italy as a precise and engaging reference point for Multivision enthusiasts to contribute to the artistic and technical growth of members. To aid and interact with national and international organisations, with the aim of providing a platform from which to aid a greater understanding of the potential of this medium. To improve and optimize the Multivision events across the regions of Italy. And to promote author evenings of their, as yet, unpublished shows of Multivision.
To recreate a new website based upon the existing template and navigation. Intergrate three areas of existing members areas into the same branded web space. The old site had conflicting designs and technologies used in general site information, members portfolio of works, multivision events and a for sale platform.
The new site had to be responsive to all sizes of display, all existing content was to be transfered.
Chosen template design empathetic to the display of photography, not too bogged down with text. WordPress was used as the AIDAMA content management software. Integration of customized plugins also included a membership sign up and payment system. This allows for minimum administration, with notices being delivered automatically to each member as their membership renewal approaches. Members are able to use simple upload forms to add new works with images, videos and PDF documents. Custom forms are also used to add events and aricles for sale. Administrators have the possibility of adding content using forms that are inaccessible to members. Help guides are also available in the members area with advice on how to use the site, but also on best practices such as optimizing images.
