Waalhof Holiday Apartments, Italy

Waalhof Holiday Apartments

Responsive website for Waalhof Holiday Apartments
Responsive website for Waalhof Holiday Apartments, Italian Alps

CLIENT: Martin & Verena Thomann – Waalhof Holiday Apartments

Their new holiday apartments are located in Corces, next to Silandro, in the beautiful Venosta valley between Resia pass and the thermal town of Merano. The valley is famous as one of the driest areas of South Tyrol, that offers mostly sunny days (above 300 sun days per year). The Venosta valley is also the orchard of South Tyrol: wine, strawberries, apricots and mostly apples come from this area. The valley is surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Ortler group (Ortles) and of the Ötztal Alps.

REQUIREMENTS:

Prior to the completion of construction of these new apartments (built above their family home), Martin and Verena needed an online presence with booking facilities. This was good thinking, to get the marketing up and running well before the main season began, ensured a better position to be in once the holiday apartments were ready. The new branding consisted of a hand-painted logo and was the reference for the new colour pallette. They themselves wished to administer as much of the site as possible .

WEB SOLUTIONS:

Martin and Verena gave a lot of thought and input into the final design and layout. They decided upon Joomla! as the content management software. Administration required an extensive training ‘manual’ including screenshots. This was all done via pdfs and email, and one-to-one training.

SERVICES:

SSL hosting and email, design, training, administration, routine maintainance, software updates and back ups.
